Apple Launches Subscriptions on the App Store

Apple logo 140pxApple has announced a new subscription service available to all publishers of content-based apps on the App Store, including magazines, newspapers, video, music, etc. "Subscriptions purchased from within the App Store will be sold using the same App Store billing system that has been used to buy billions of apps and In-App Purchases."

Vindicia Expands Payment Method Support for CashBox

Vindicia has expanded the number of payment methods available for online billing in its CashBox™ service. The company recently announced that it had added PayPal – both PayPal Express Checkout and PayPal’s enhanced recurring billing solution, known as “reference transactions” – to its payment method support. Specifically, Vindicia CashBox now supports: credit and debit cards (including JCB, Switch/Solo and Carte Bleu), Electronic Check (ACH in the United States), PayPal, Boleto Bancário – one of the most popular online payment methods in Brazil, and European Direct Debit, specifically ELV in Germany and Austria. Vindicia Raises $7.5 Million in Series D Financing

Vindicia_logo-140px.jpgVindicia has announced raising $7.5 million in series D financing - bringing the total amount raised to over $21 million. ONSET Ventures led the financing in partnership with existing investors Bertelsmann Digital Media Investments, DCM and Leader Ventures. The company also announced that ONSET Ventures General Partner David Lane and BDMI Principal Keith Titan have joined its board of directors. Vindicia Extends CashBox Billing System With Merchant e-Solutions

Vindicia has announced that it has integrated its on-demand CashBox billing system with Merchant e-Solutions' (MeS) e-Commerce payment platform. Zuora Launches Z-Payments for Subscription-based Businesses

Zuora has announced the release of Z-Payments, a complete payment solution built for subscription businesses that comes pre-integrated with the ability to accept PayPal payments. Z-Payments allows subscription-based businesses "to offer their customers flexible and secure online payment options, manage the complexities of collecting recurring subscription payments, and ultimately get paid faster."
