Apple has announced a new subscription service available to all publishers of content-based apps on the App Store, including magazines, newspapers, video, music, etc. "Subscriptions purchased from within the App Store will be sold using the same App Store billing system that has been used to buy billions of apps and In-App Purchases."

Aria Systems has announced Aria SubscriptionsPlus for PayPal, a new subscription management and recurring billing product designed for PayPal's global merchant base. Vindicia has expanded the number of payment methods available for online billing in its CashBox™ service. Vindicia has announced raising $7.5 million in series D financing - bringing the total amount raised to over $21 million. ONSET Ventures led the financing in partnership with existing investors Bertelsmann Digital Media Investments, DCM and Leader Ventures.
