Taco Bueno Adds Contactless Payments

Credit Cards Can Make You Fat

Tamara E. Holmes writes for about one of the potential side effects of being able to pay for fast food with credit cards - a recent survey said that "77 percent say they can buy exactly what they want because they are not limited by the cash they have available." More Convenient Than Cash

According to a new survey commissioned by Visa, 82 percent of respondents agree that Quick Service Restaurant purchases made with debit or credit cards are more convenient than dealing with cash. And 68 percent say using payment cards is faster than paying with cash.

Blackhawk Network To Distribute McDonald’s Arch Cards in Safeway Stores

Blackhawk Network, a subsidiary of Safeway, has announced an alliance with McDonald’s and P2W to sell McDonald's Arch Cards in 1,500 U.S. Safeway stores including Dominick’s, Vons, Pavilions, Genuardi’s, Randalls, Tom Thumb and Carrs.

Visa's "Lunch" Ad - The Benefits of Speed

Visa asks: "what’s the worst thing about waiting in line? For many Americans, it is other customers who hold up lines by digging for change, paying with large bills or writing checks." According to a new Visa survey conducted with 1,000 adults standing in lines throughout New York City, most consumers would actually prefer to clean their bathroom (42 percent), sit in traffic (20 percent) or go to the dentist (18 percent) rather than stand in line.

Jack in the Box Restaurants Accept Contactless Payment

Jack in the Box has announced the installation of new contactless payment card readers at all company restaurants will be completed by Dec. 31 - to "offer guests an easier, quicker way to pay. Guests will be able to pay simply by holding their cards in front of a reader at the front counter or drive-thru window. No swipe required." Jack in the Box partnered with American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa for the rollout.
