  • NCR Uses Advanced Software and 2D Barcodes to Bring Cardless Transactions to Bank of Ningbo ATMs - "Bank of Ningbo customers only need to pre-stage their cash withdrawal amount (up to RMB3,000) by selecting the “Pai Pai Cash” icon on the bank’s mobile banking application, a pre-scheduled transaction will then be generated in the application. As soon as the customers arrive at any of the bank’s ATMs, they can simply scan the 2D barcode on the bottom right hand corner of the ATM screen with their mobile phones to withdraw cash."
  • TSYS Extends Relationship with INVEX - “We look forward to continuing our business relationship with TSYS, and are excited about consolidating our consumer line of business onto the more robust TS2® platform,” said Jean Marc Mercier, head of the Card Business for INVEX.

Intuit to Acquire PayCycle

Intuit has announced signing a definitive agreement to purchase PayCycle Inc., one of the nation’s fastest-growing online payroll services, serving more than 85,000 small businesses. According to Intuit, "the cash transaction is valued at approximately $170 million, subject to adjustment. Privately held PayCycle, based in Palo Alto, Calif., is a leader in online payroll for small businesses, accountants and financial institutions." READ MORE »

Western Growers has announced they are partnering with Bank of America and Visa to offer a payroll solution that will help member companies reduce expenses and provide more convenience and flexibility to their employees by offering the CashPay Visa payroll card to their employees. CashPay Visa allows employees to avoid the fees associated with check-cashing services.

Workers Get Plastic Instead Of Paycheck

The Gannett News Service reports on the increasing use of payroll cards.

By 2006, the number of payroll cards in use by U.S. households without bank accounts will double to 3.8 million, said Ariana-Michele Moore, a senior analyst at Boston-based Celent LLC, a financial services research firm.

Digital Insight has announced that it is partnering with PayCycle to offer PayCycle's web-based small business self-service payroll to its financial institution customers.
