BillFloat has announced that it has entered into an agreement with Online Resources Corporation. "Under the strategic agreement, Online Resources will extend its biller-direct suite of electronic bill payment, presentment and receivables solutions by marketing BillFloat as a consumer payment option. Online Resources has announced that over the past six months it has signed agreements with more than 40 utilities for various electronic billing solutions. According to the release, "Seven new biller-direct utility clients, including three of the 15 largest electric utilities and the largest investor-owned water utility in the U.S., selected Online Resources to power their customers’ billing and payments."

Online Resources has announced that its eCommerce Services unit has introduced a new disbursement solution. DIRECTV is one of five major billers that implemented the service in the first quarter. The disbursement solution satisfies a range of applications across a variety of industries including mortgages, credit cards, insurance, utilities, health care and others. Typical uses include refunds, rewards payments, credit card balance transfers, settlements, escrow payments, insurance claims, royalty payments and flexible spending account reimbursements.
