mFoundry Launches mDeposit Express Convertible Mobile Deposit Solution

Mfoundry logo 140pxmFoundry announced it has launched mDeposit Express, a "standalone mobile deposit capture solution that banks and credit unions can use to provide customers with an immediate mobile deposit solution, regardless of their current mobile banking platform."

In related mobile banking news, ClairMail announced an impressive 234% year-over-year revenue increase for 2010, along with other assorted growth statistics.

PayPal Mobile Check Capture Now Available

PayPal_logo-140px.jpgPayPal is blogging that $100,000 worth of checks have been processed in the first 36 hours by the "Add Money from Checks" capability inside the new PayPal mobile app. In related news, BankServe has announced that its mobile capture technology behind the service.

Chase Introduces Mobile Remote Deposit Capture

Chase_logo-140px.jpgChase quietly introduced a new version of its mobile banking app last week that supports remote deposit capture from the iPhone. Jim Bruene over at NetBanker has a write up on how it works, including some nice screen shots. The app upgrade also included mobile access to Chase's P2P payment service.

Fiserv Finds Banks Interested in Offering Mobile Deposit Capture

Fiserv has announced the results of recent market research that quantified the interest among banks and credit unions for mobile deposit capture and gauged their views on potential customer acceptance. Mobile deposit capture is an extension of remote deposit capture (RDC) that enables checks to be deposited anywhere via a mobile phone equipped with a camera to create and send an image of the check.
