InComm Acquires Giftango Corporation

InComm logo 140pxInComm announced that it has acquired Giftango Corporation, a leading digital gifting solutions provider.

“This acquisition opens doors to new and meaningful distribution channels for InComm merchants and product partners. Giftango is the digital gifting technology behind very large loyalty, incentive and mobile platforms in the US market, and has made inroads internationally as well,” said Brooks Smith, InComm president and CEO. “This also adds proven B2B, e-commerce and promotional toolsets to the portfolio of InComm products.”

InComm Acquires Adility to Offer Integrated Commerce Solutions

InComm logo 140pxInComm announced its acquisition of Adility, a platform for online-to-offline commerce, with a network of more than 500 mobile applications and online publishers.

“We created Adility, recognizing the tremendous impact online and mobile-influenced commerce has today on offline retailers and brands,” said Thomas Cornelius, Adility founder and president. “InComm has one of the largest retail networks in the country, and a fantastic team with a track record of delivering innovative solutions to their retail partners. Through our retailer-specific platform, Adility provides the ability to expand in-store sales to a completely new category, offering targeted and measurable promotions that serve the interests of their specific customer base.”

InComm Acquires On-Line Strategies

InComm logo 140pxInComm has announced its acquisition of On-Line Strategies, Inc. (OLS), a software and services company focused on processing complex, large-volume and high-speed consumer-driven transactions in mission-critical environments.

"The market has shown growing demand for a comprehensive, powerful, low-cost processing engine, and given recent consolidation in the industry, we see this as a perfect time to offer our products and services to a broader customer base," said Terry Richards , CEO, OLS. "InComm was an ideal partner, considering our overlapping customer base, its reputation as a retail solutions provider in the industry and its strong balance sheet. We are thrilled to become part of the InComm team and look forward to helping its customer base significantly reduce their total cost of ownership for the processing of consumer-driven transactions."

OLS will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary with its current management team in place, and is immediately available to provide InComm's customers and partners access to its advanced switch technology.

InComm Acquires Restricted Spend Payment Company Medagate Corp

InComm logo 140pxInComm announced that it has acquired Medagate Corporation, the company that powers OTCNetwork, the only national closed loop over-the-counter (OTC) healthcare benefits payments platform.

Medagate's technology platform supports several applications that enable retail and healthcare to intersect at the point of sale, enabling insured health plan members as well as Medicare and Medicaid members to access and spend their monthly healthcare benefits in an easy and familiar manner.

All current employees of Medagate will remain with the company, with its existing management continuing to run the day-to-day operations.

GAME Launches ‘Digital Wallet’ for Online Gamers

Gamewallet logo 140x60pxThe GAME Group in Europe has partnered with InComm and announced GAMEwallet, "a completely new way for customers to explore, find and pay for digital downloads, streaming, online gaming subscriptions and essential in-game items." GAMEwallet is intended to give online gamers an alternative to using debit and credit cards online.

InComm Introduces Prepaid to the Discount Channel in Japan

InComm logo 140pxInComm has announced that it is teaming up with Don Quijote, Japan's largest discount store chain, to launch a suite of point-of-sale activation (POSA) prepaid products utilizing InComm's Fastcard technology at all of its retail locations.

While most retailers in North America regularly use POSA technology to enable display merchandising of gift and prepaid cards, the Don Quijote launch represents the first roll out of this technology in the major discount store industry in Japan.

MoneyGram and InComm to Offer MoneyGram Xpress In-lane Money Transfer Service

MoneyGram logo 140pxMoneyGram and InComm have announced an agreement where InComm will assist MoneyGram in the distribution and activation of MoneyGram Xpress packages in select outlets in InComm’s network of more than 225,000 retail locations.

“We are pleased to introduce this new money transfer service and bring a whole new level of ease and convenience to our consumers,” said Stu Kiefer, MoneyGram vice president of product management. “Prepaid money transfers allow consumers to pay for the transfer amount and fees at the same time as they make other retail purchases and then actually make the transfer when convenient for them – online or by phone. The product broadens ways to access money transfer services and for many, assists with time and money management.”

Western Union and InComm to Offer General Purpose Reloadable Prepaid Cards

inComm_logo-140px.png WesternUnion_logo-140px.png Western Union and InComm have announced that they have entered into an agreement to offer Western Union General Purpose Reloadable prepaid cards (GPR) through InComm retail locations.

InComm partners with more than 150,000 retail locations. Through its relationship with InComm, Western Union will now offer the MoneyWise Prepaid card to consumers through grocery and convenience stores, pharmacies, and mass merchandiser locations.
