Written by Glenbrook’s Carol Coye Benson and Scott Loftesness, the book provides a thorough grounding in U.S. payments systems—what they are, how they work, and how they are changing. In an informal, easy-to-read style, the book provides essential reading for any payments professional—new to the industry or experienced—who wants a comprehensive, unbiased view of the US payments industry.

The book is part of Glenbrook’s Payments Essentials program of Payments Boot Camps, workshops, and webinars providing industry education for payments professionals.

The Payments Boot Camp Comes to Europe!

Glenbrook is pleased to announce that a version of our popular two-day Payments Boot Camp will be offered in Dublin, Ireland on November 17th & 18th, 2010. The workshop will have a particular focus on mobile payments. “Payments in a Mobile World” will cover both the basics of the payments industry (value chains, economics, regulations, etc.) and explore how payments – in Europe and the United States – are being profoundly changed by mobile technology.

Glenbrook's Allen Weinberg and Carol Coye Benson will be attending next week's annual conference of the Merchant Risk Council. Together, they'll be teaching the MRC Payments Workshop on the afternoon of Tuesday, March 18th. On Tuesday mornng, Allen will be joining a panel discussion about Universal Identity - Trust in e-Commerce Transactions as part of the MRC Platinum Meeting. An Update from Snow Central

Here's a news report from the Big Apple: "Glenbrook's latest Payments Boot Camp is kicking off in New York City this morning, in the midst of a "monster snowstorm" predicted to be "a 9 on a scale of 1-to-10". Glenbrook's Carol Coye Benson and Bryan Derman have already battled their way into the classroom - and determined boot campers are beginning to trickle in. Sadly, several out-of-towners have had to cancel because of flight cancellations - we'll welcome them to one of the next boot camps - maybe in sunny California!"
