U.S. Bank announced that it is acquiring Florida-based FSV Payment Systems, a prepaid card processing company known for its expertise managing a broad range of prepaid programs for companies, governments and other financial institutions.

“The prepaid market has been a strategic focus for our business over the last decade and we are pleased to expand our capabilities and offer a fuller suite of prepaid services,” said Tony Vuoto, executive vice president of U.S. Bank Retail Payment Solutions. “FSV Payment Systems is one of the few integrated platforms developed specifically for the prepaid market and has the flexibility to serve our growing customer base.”

Meta Payments Systems has announced "the iAdvance Line of Credit for the millions of Americans who are unable to access affordable, small dollar credit."

FSV Payment Systems and MiCash have announced "the general availability of a fully integrated card-to-cash international money transfer functionality on prepaid payroll debit cards offered by FSV. This unique functionality is available currently to MiCash prepaid debit cardholders."

Parago, a provider of rebate, incentive and promotion solutions, has announced "FSV Payment Systems has been selected as a strategic partner for prepaid services. In the newly formed partnership, FSV Payment Systems will manage prepaid card processing while their partner, Meta Payment Systems will provide issuing bank services."

Visa USA has announced that nearly twenty issuers, partners, processors and acquiring financial institutions have agreed to implement Visa ReadyLink, Visa’s prepaid load network service. Visa recently announced an agreement with Blackhawk Network’s alliance partner stores, making Safeway the first in Blackhawk Network’s alliance of 60,000 stores in North America to implement Visa ReadyLink.
