Finovate has announced that the demo videos from FinovateFall 2012 are now available.
The videos are part of the Finovate Archives, where you can watch (for free) every demo of new technology since our first conference in the fall of 2007. It's an inspiring place to hang out online for a couple of hours.
A number of payment-related companies were selected by the audience as "Best of Show" at this week's FinovateFall 2012 conference in New York.
The Finovate Group has announced the full lineup of the 64 companies that will be doing demos at FinovateFall 2012 on "great new innovations in everything fintech -- from PFM to security, from crowdfunding to mobile payments, and much more." This falls conference will be held at the Javits Convention Center on September 12th and 13th.
There were a number of interesting reactions to yesterday's Passbook announcement from Apple. Glenbrook's own Scott Loftesness posted his take on the announcement over on Payments News. Jim Bruene, the creator of Finovate, took a look at Apple's new mobile wallet and wondered if Passbook is friend or foe of the banking industry?

Jim Bruene and his Finovate team have announced the 60 handpicked companies will take the stage at FinovateFall 2011 in Manhattan on September 20-21 to demo their latest financial and banking technology innovations -- the lineup includes various payments companies we're not familiar with (ModoPayments) to others we are (MasterCard Worldwide).
Glenbrook's Bryan Derman will be in attendance as well, and plans to live blog what he finds new and interesting at the event.

NetBanker has announced the first of the 60 companies that will be showcased at the upcoming FinovateSpring 2011 conference being held in San Francisco on May 10 and 11th at the San Francisco Design Center Concourse. They are also promising that additional companies will likely be added as the event draws near.
In related news, FinovateFall 2011 will take place on September 20 and 21 in New York City at Pier 92, a much larger venue than last year's conference.
We're big fans of NetBanker and the Finovate Conferences series. With their first European conference now complete, they are making the attendee guide freely available to anybody who registers on their Online Banking Report website. The guide contains a one-page synopsis of each of the 35 demoing companies.
FinovateEurope 2011, which was held today in London, was designed to "showcase the most innovative new financial technology products and ideas from established industry leaders and cutting-edge startups." Announcements coming out of the conference include:

There is a tremendous amount of innovation happening in fintech right now, a lot of it in the Bay Area / Silicon Valley region, and the two-day format will enable us to showcase more of it.
