Javelin Strategy & Research is announcing a new study titled "2008 Expedited Payments Forecast: Banks Must Add Expedited Payments Now or Lose $5 Billion in Fees to Billers." Jim writes: "For years, bank-offered bill pay has been a net cost to banks. However, banks and their service providers have been increasingly looking for ways to shift those payments from a net cost, to a source of revenue."

Online Resources Corp. has announced the broad launch of an integrated expedited payments service, first piloted in 2007, that is now fully available through more than 500 bank and credit unions.
