LevelUp Raises $12 Million to Expand Mobile Payment Product

Levelup logo 140pxSCVNGR, the maker of LevelUp, announced that it has raised $12 million in funding with participation from existing investors Highland Capital Partners, Google Ventures, Balderton Capital and new investors Continental Investors and Transmedia Capital.
Launched by Boston-based SCVNGR in July 2011, LevelUp enables its users to pay with their phones by linking their credit or debit card to the app and scanning it at checkout. In turn, businesses on LevelUp are able to attract new customers with incentives while motivating them to become regular customers with loyalty rewards.

Federal Reserve Reports Consumer Credit for April 2012

FedThe US Federal Reserve has reported its latest G.19 Consumer Credit statistics - finding that "consumer credit increased at an annual rate of 3% in April. Revolving credit decreased at an annual rate of 4.75%, while nonrevolving credit increased at an annual rate of 7%."

Earlier this week, the Federal Reserve Board announced that it has restructured the G.19 Consumer Credit statistics to reflect regulatory filing changes for U.S.-chartered depository institutions among other things.

Braintree Expands Processing Footprint to 30 Countries

QuickBooks Point of Sale Goes Mobile With GoPayment

Intuit logo 140pxIntuit has announced the its newest point-of-sale product that integrates with GoPayment mobile payment processing support.
“With 10 years of point of sale experience, we understand the challenges small retailers face when trying to grow their business,” said Chris Hylen, vice president and general manager of Intuit’s Payment Solutions division. “By integrating QuickBooks Point of Sale 2013 with GoPayment, we’re liberating retailers from their cash registers so they can better serve their customers and ring up more sales both in the store and on the go.”

Zooz Launches HTML5 Version of In-App Payment Solution

Zooz logo 140x60px ZooZ, a new provider of in-app mobile payment solutions, has announced that it is now offering an HTML5 mobile web version of its compact SDK, which requires just three lines of code for developers to “cut, paste, and go” in under 10 minutes.
This latest version of ZooZ’s solution extends full functionality to both HTML5 and hybrid apps on mobile and desktop browsers alike, and enables mobile developers to quickly and easily aggregate multiple payment sources such as credit cards, PayPal, and Google Wallet into one universal solution.

AT&T Video Bill

AT T logo 114pxAT&T has introduced a new billing service called 'AT&T Video Bill' that steps a customer through every part of their bill, explains the charges, and lets people pay their bill upon completion.
A few months ago, we introduced a service we call the U-verse video bill to new U-verse Voice, TV and Internet customers, as well as existing customers who change or upgrade their service. This is an automatically-generated, customized video with computer animation and voice narration that explains the elements of your bill.
