MasterCard has announced financial results for the second quarter 2011. Net revenue for the quarter was $1.7 billion, a 22.1% increase versus the same period in 2010. Worldwide purchase volume during the quarter was up 16.3% on a local currency basis versus the second quarter of 2010, to $608 billion. Cross-border volume was up 19.3%.
