CyberSource, a Visa company, has announced availability of "the world's largest real-time fraud detection radar, empowering online merchants to pinpoint fraud faster, more accurately, and with less manual intervention. This advance enables merchants to conduct more accurate analyses of their inbound orders, including comparison of those orders to the over 60 billion transactions Visa and CyberSource process annually, including orders that were confirmed to be fraudulent."

Discover Financial Services has reported financial results for the first quarter 2011. The company said Discover card sales volume was $24 billion in the quarter, an increase of 7% from the prior year. Credit quality continued to improve as the credit card net charge-off rate declined sequentially 99 basis points to 5.96%, and credit card loans over 30 days delinquent declined 47 basis points to 3.59%. The credit card net charge-off rate decreased to 5.96% for the first quarter of 2011, down 304 basis points from the prior year and 99 basis points from the prior quarter.

eWise has announced the availablity of Secure Vault Payments to the nonprofit market at the 48th Annual Association for Fundraising Professionals International Conference.

FamilySearch International has signed a pilot agreement with U.S. Bank to evaluate Secure Vault Payments (SVP) as a secure and convenient online payment option for FamilySearch.org patrons to make online donations.

Accertify has announced the Accertify Chargeback Service, a "comprehensive chargeback management platform that helps merchants save time, cut operational costs and retain revenue."

Accertify Chargeback Service is a single-source platform designed to manage dispute processes for all types of credit and debit cards and alternative payments, regardless of brand. It supports use of global languages and currencies and was developed for use by merchants in travel and entertainment, retail, social networking, and by merchants providing digital downloads, subscriptions and services.

First Data has announced a mobile vouchers (mVoucher) capability for merchants looking to "extend their brand and commerce services to their ever-more-mobile customers."

Sometimes referred to as coupons, mVouchers store a prepaid value funded by the merchant or consumer product goods company. Mobile vouchers can be delivered as coupons, loyalty rewards, promotional rewards, contest rewards or general marketing initiatives. The virtual offer can then be used for redemption online or in-store through a mobile device as an SMS (short message service) or 2-D barcode, and ultimately through contactless exchange such as Near Field Communication (NFC).
