Tempo_logo-140px.jpgDogster, Inc., creator of the web destinations Dogster and Catster, has announced it is now offering affinity debit cards that members can personalize with a photo of their pet that are enabled by Tempo’s Web-based debit card platform.

Dogster and Catster are the fastest growing pet owner destination sites on the Internet, providing information and entertainment to dog lovers and cat lovers. Dogster and Catster debit cardholders will receive cash-back rewards for every signature-based purchase, with rewards automatically deposited into cardholder accounts on a monthly basis.

Tempo technology makes it easy for organizations to offer affinity debit cards and provides a web portal for consumers to apply for and activate cards, as well as track purchases and rewards. Dogster and Catster debit cards can be personalized with pet photos simply by uploading a preferred electronic image during the online application process.

“We expect many consumers to pounce at the opportunity to emboss their primary payment card with a photo of their pet,” said Steven Reading, Dogster Chief Business Officer. “Our more than 750,000 members have uploaded millions of photos of more than 600,000 pets, which shows they love their pets and want to show them off to the rest of the world. Our rewards program pays them back with a monetary treat every time they show off that love with their Dogster and Catster debit cards.”

Cardholders can use their Dogster and Catster branded debit cards anywhere Debit MasterCard cards are accepted and also enjoy cash-back and ATM withdrawal access to their existing checking accounts. The cards are issued by Tempo partner First Bank & Trust of Brookings, SD, part of Fishback Financial Corporation.

“Affinity debit cards represent a new loyalty option for businesses large and small,” said Tempo CEO Mike Grossman. “Tempo’s Web-based platform utilizes our unique software-as-a-service technology to change the economics of tailoring cards to specific groups of consumers.”

Tempo-enabled debit cards are affinity partner-branded, generate valuable cardholder rewards, and can be used for online and offline purchases and ATM withdrawals. Working with First Bank & Trust, Tempo manages all aspects of card issuance, including risk management, application processing, card fulfillment, authorization and settlement.
