Discover Offers Extra Cash Rewards This Holiday Season

Discover_logo-140px.jpgDiscover has announced a variety of ways that "Discover Cardmembers can take advantage of extra cash rewards when shopping this holiday season, including the opportunity to earn Double Cashback Bonus on all online purchases, as well as at department stores, jewelry and apparel retailers."

“Rather than rewards points that don’t offer the same redemption value, Discover cardmembers can redeem their Cashback Bonus dollar for dollar,” said Julie Loeger, senior vice president of rewards and brand management at Discover. “With the Cashback Bonus program, redemption is simple and Discover cardmembers always know the true value of what they are redeeming.”

Additionally, Discover is offering cardmembers the following:

  • Greater Cashback Bonus: Discover More cardmembers can earn 5% Cashback Bonus on up to $400 in restaurant, movie and grocery store purchases through December 31.
  • Increased Online Rewards: Holiday shoppers who use Discover card’s exclusive online shopping mall, ShopDiscover, for their online purchases can:
    • Earn 5% to 20% Cashback Bonus or Double Miles
    • Shop at over 150 top online retailers
    • For a limited time receive additional holiday Cashback Bonus at over 35 retailers such as Macy’s, Kohls, and Best Buy
    • Enjoy weekly specials, including free shipping, must-have gifts, discounts, exclusive offers and more, through ShopDiscover's Hot Deals page
  • Enhanced Redemption Options: Discover Cardmembers always have benefited from a cash rewards program that allows them to redeem their Cashback Bonus for even bigger rewards with more than 100 brand-name partners. In addition to partner gift cards, Discover Cardmembers can redeem their Cashback Bonus for popular merchandise such as the Nintendo Wii, Playstation 3 and Apple iPod.

“Discover is currently the only issuer to offer its cardmembers the entire online category as an opportunity for additional cash rewards,” said Loeger. “That, coupled with department, jewelry and apparel retailers, should help many of our cardmembers make their money worth more this holiday, which we know is critically important.”

To enroll in the Double Cashback Bonus Program or 5% Cashback Bonus Program, cardmembers should log into the Account Center at http://www.Discover.com.
