TSYS Introduces MobilePASS for SmartPhone Card Acceptance

tsys_top_logo.gifTSYS Acquiring Solutions has announced the introduction of MobilePASS - a payment application that gives merchants the ability to accept and process card payments any time, anywhere.

According to TSYS, "MobilePASS enables merchants to accept and process card payments while on-the-go. A convenient alternative to traditional and expensive payment applications such as wireless terminals, Interactive Voice Response (IVR) systems and old- fashioned knuckle busters, MobilePASS is designed for the 21st century merchant."

MobilePASS offers credit and debit card processing, voids, returns and reporting in a quick and intuitive way, enabling merchants to process a sale regardless of where their business takes them. Cardholder data is protected in the event that the smartphone is lost or stolen, because data is not stored on the device. As a result, merchants can focus on servicing customers and growing their business without being hindered by security concerns.

“TSYS Acquiring Solutions has changed the landscape of the payments industry with the introduction of MobilePASS,” said Bob Philbin, president of TSYS Acquiring Solutions. “With this application, TSYS has taken its trusted reputation for security and convenience to a whole new level. The future of payments is here and MobilePASS is just one of our solutions designed to meet the needs of the consumer.”

When coupled with the PayMate Pro 200 — an optional Bluetooth® magnetic stripe reader and thermal printer — MobilePASS allows merchants to qualify for card-present interchange rates.

“MobilePASS is a huge step forward for mobile payments solutions,” said Dhruv Singh, PayMate’s executive vice president for North American operations. “It’s clear that TSYS is providing products that the industry demands.”
