Demo'ing Payment Card Acceptance on Your iPhone
One of the new TV ads for Apple's iPhone 3GS features the Credit Card Terminal application - available in the iTunes App Store - showing how a card accepting merchant can use the application to process credit card transactions right from her iPhone.
Yesterday, Apple unveiled the new iPhone 3GS and also reduced the price of the current model iPhone 3G to $99.

These are processed as card-not-present transactions though aren't they? How much cooler to hang a Bluetooth contactless card reader off the iPhone and turn it into a card-present transaction! (Don't want to read the mag. stripe, too easy to copy...)

Dave, yes - those are Card Not Present transactions when key-entered on the iPhone. Intuit has recently introduced GoPayment - which includes support for Bluetooth connected mag stripe readers and reader/printers.
