In an article in today's Politico titled "John Conyers takes aim at interchange fees", Victoria McGrane writes about the interchange fee legislation re-introduced last week in Congress by John Conyers and Bill Shuster. The bill would She notes that lobbyies for the financial industry opposing the bill "point out that Conyers’ bill — unlike an earlier version — does not specify that merchants must pass on savings to consumers."
