Cash-Ticket Provides Another Cash Option for Online Purchases

paysafecard group has announced the launch of Cash-Ticket, enabling payments for consumers of all ages as it requires no bank details or personal information and allows businesses to serve consumers who were previously unable, or simply didn’t want to make purchases online.

With the prepaid voucher Cash-Ticket, now everyone can, for example, benefit from the bargains only offered on the Internet or book cheap flights with low cost airlines that only offer tickets online. This means that together with their debut product paysafecard, which focuses on industries such as games and Internet telephony, paysafecard group are now covering an even wider range of markets.

“Cash-Ticket is a product that offers security for both parties,” explains Michael Mueller, CEO of paysafecard group. “The merchant knows that payment is 100% guaranteed and the customers know that they are free from the risk of fraud,” he points out. “Another benefit for businesses is the fact that there are no set up costs to accept Cash-Ticket as a payment method.”

Mueller also highlights the importance of having a straightforward method to increase the number of completed transactions: “A high number of online shoppers ‘drop off’ at the check out page before making a transaction,” he explains. “The aim for Cash-Ticket is to reduce that number.”

Users can keep track of their balance and transactions online. The vouchers are available in denominations of £10, £25, £50 and £100. Up to ten vouchers to the value of £1000 can be used at once for larger payments.

Buying a Cash-Ticket incurs a one-off activation fee of £2 for the consumer, regardless of how much credit is purchased, there are no hidden costs or extra charges. After buying the voucher, users must then enter a sixteen digit PIN code to make a payment.

“Initially, Cash-Ticket will be available in over 20,000 outlets nationwide in the UK,” says David Hunter, UK CEO. “We feel this is a step towards making sure everybody has the option of making online payments safely.”

About Cash-Ticket: Cash-Ticket is the second product from paysafecard group. The prepaid voucher allows consumers to purchase flights, ticket orders and online shopping without having to provide personal bank details. When paying at a web-shop all that is required is the 16 digit pin code. paysafecard group already operate in 16 European countries with offices in Vienna, London, Bern and Duesseldorf. Founded in 2000, the company is one of the leading providers for alternative payment solutions and in March 2009 was awarded by Paybefore for being the ‘Best Prepaid Company Outside USA’.

It is right that there is an opportunity to serve a percentage of people who wish to transact in cash online, either because they do not hold banking or card facilities or for security of their personal information.

However, this proposition doesn't seem very user-friendly as the customer must pay 2 GBP just to use it and must pay into the service in advance of transacting online. I don't think that adequately solves the opportunity above.

The product 'PayCash' from PayPoint.net, which uses all the same payment locations as this, allows Merchants to offer a cash payment option initiated directly from checkout at the Merchant website and at no premium to the customer.

This seems perfect considering security. However, for doing actual transactions it may not be that much efficient for consumers as it can be used for small ticket payments only. Further customers needs to be on hand with prepaid vouchers before going online unlike bank cards, which will be with them every time. Convience comes first and then security. Hence, I rather opt for payment options like Paypal, which has same functionalities and is more secure as it will not have exposure to my bank/ card full balance in case of fraud attempt also.

I've been looking for some more information about paysafecard and found this. Sounds interesting but I'd like to know more about both, psc and Cash-Ticket. One is absolutely clear - this payment method is absolutely safe. But... Where exactly can I use them? Which airline companies accept them? I fly quite often and book tickets from different companies online but none of them offered payment by Cash-Ticket or paysafecard.

What exactly is the difference between this Cash-Ticket and the current paysafecard? I've been using PSCs for a while now and basically they already work like cash on the inet, or like prepaid cards, but you don't have to pay any fees for using those. It would be nice if there were more websites/online retailers that would accept PSCs but I'm not quite sure I understand why they are establishing a second brand

This seems like a good idea if you want to be safe from fraud or annoying trojans - just makes for a more secure feeling if you're shopping on the web. I bought tickets for a flight via this recently and it worked out just fine.

Aydrian F., I'm still confused about this. I've read the article but I don't understand where do I get one of those Tickets and which airlines accept Cash-Ticket payments. My local paysafecard retailer had no idea what I was talking about when I asked if they sell Cash-Tickets.
