"Bullies Go After the Weak"
In her personal finance column titled "Taking a Swing At the Bullies Behind the Plastic" in Sunday's Washington Post, Michelle Singletary writes about the behavior of credit card issuers: "The credit card companies -- by jacking up interest rates -- are hurting people already struggling to pay their bills."
She goes on to note that even "good customers are getting bullied" and concludes that the issuers will find a way around any rule changes that are enacted.
Her advice: "We have to stop or drastically reduce our reliance on credit cards. If we do that, we can take our power back."
