CreditCards.com Launches MerchantAccountGuide.com
CreditCards.com has announced the launch of its latest site, MerchantAccountGuide.com, saying it offers "a unique and vital service to the small business community in the United States. The website allows small business owners to compare merchant processing services, which facilitate the acceptance of credit cards for customer payments."
The merchant services landscape is highly fragmented, with several large processors dominating the industry that primarily service large to medium sized businesses and scores of smaller processors vying for the small business market.
"Until now small business owners have struggled to understand their available options in this important area," says CreditCards.com, Inc. CEO, Elisabeth DeMarse. "Just as CreditCards.com has done for consumers, MerchantAccountGuide.com seeks to level the playing field for small business people by making the cost of these services more transparent and display the typical fees in a consistent format to enable easy comparison. As we build out the site, we'll borrow heavily from our successes with CreditCards.com, providing visitors with editorial content and tools that aid in the selection and management of a merchant processor."
"Being able to accept credit cards for payment is a necessity in any consumer-focused business. But the costs of accepting cards can vary from one processor to another, and the complexity of processing agreements makes choosing the right provider a real challenge for most small businesses," according to Christian Lavender, Director of Marketing for MerchantAccountGuide.com. "By simplifying the process and helping small businesses make more informed choices, we can play a small role in their success, which is very rewarding," added Lavender.
MerchantAccountGuide.com is free to use and requires no registration or enrollment.
