India's mChek Completes PCI DSS 1.2 Certification

mChek has announced it has been certified as compliant with the latest Payment Card Industry, Data Security Standard 1.2. mChek believes it is "one of the first payment products globally to be certified as PCI DSS 1.2 compliant."

The new version of the PCI DSS was released on the 1st of October, 2008 by the PCI Security Standards Council, an open global forum launched in 2006 and founded by American Express, Discover Financial Services, JCB International, MasterCard Worldwide, and Visa Inc. This latest version released by the PCI Security Standards Council is the culmination of two years of feedback and suggestions from its industry stakeholders and is designed to clarify and ease implementation of the foremost standard for cardholder account security.

The urgency in adopting the newly released standards and completion of certification in record time is further evidence of our commitment to delivering best in class security on mChek” said Mr. Sanjay Swamy, CEO, mChek.
