NetSpend, Axcess Financial Announce Alliance

NetSpend has announced an alliance with Axcess Financial alliance to create the NetSpend Axcess Prepaid MasterCard (the Axcess Card), a general purpose reloadable prepaid debit card, and enables the Axcess Card and the NetSpend National Savings Program to be available to thousands of customers across the country through Axcess Financial's distribution channels.

Axcess Financial is a respected leader in the financial services industry that empowers consumers with financial solutions. Through multiple professional affiliations, the company provides a wide range of convenient, approachable financial products that improve consumers' financial situations by meeting their lifestyle and budgetary needs. Axcess Financial products are distributed through multiple channels, including online, internationally and more than 1,300 Check 'n Go retail locations in 30 states.

A pilot program launched August 25, 2008, making the Axcess Card and the NetSpend National Savings Program available to customers at more than 200 Check 'n Go locations in Ohio, Tennessee, Michigan and Kentucky. The program is planned to roll out to remaining locations later this year in accordance with applicable state laws and regulations. Customers with a minimum load amount will receive their Axcess Card at no additional cost. Information about card purchase and reload costs will be available at participating pilot locations. Axcess Cards will be issued by Inter National Bank, member FDIC.

"We are thrilled that Axcess Financial Services has decided to extend the NetSpend Axcess Prepaid MasterCard and the accompanying NetSpend National Savings Program to its customers," said NetSpend Chief Executive Officer Daniel R. Henry. "Our products have greatly served the underbanked population, and we are excited to extend their reach through Axcess Financial Services' distribution channels, including Check n' Go locations across the country."

"We chose to work with NetSpend for its industry leadership and expertise," said Doug Clark, COO, Axcess Financial Services. "The Axcess Card is a great additional product option for our existing customers and helps to attract new customers seeking convenient financial tools to meet their busy lifestyles."
