Credit Cards

Several articles of note have recently appeared "slamming" the credit card - including various credit card issuer business practices, etc. Below are some highlights:

• The Debt Trap - a series of articles and accompanying multimedia content that the New York Times has been running for the last week or so. The second article in the series ran on Saturday: Outside U.S., Credit Cards Tighten Grip.
• Listen to the 56,000 - a New York Times editorial that ran last Tuesday.
• Sunday's Washington Post Business section carried on its front page the article "Credit Card Industry Faces Reforms" by Nancy Trejos.
• Sunday's Parade magazine section included the article: Don't Get Clobbered By Credit Cards! by Gary Weiss. The online article includes a poll asking readers whether Congress should regulate credit cards.
• Today, ABC News Consumer Correspondent Elisabeth Leamy writes Credit Card Junkies, Get Your Scissors.
