Mobilians Launches PhoneBill Payment Service in US
Mobilians International has announced commercial availability of its phone-based payment service on NHN USA’s ijji.com online gaming website. With Mobilians’ PhoneBill service, NHN USA’s customers now can purchase ijji.com “G-Coins” in multiple increments by charging them to their home phone bill.
“After successful initial trials, Mobilians PhoneBill has generated interest and increased transaction volume from our online gaming customer base,” says Whon Namkoong, chief executive officer of NHN USA. “We are extremely excited to introduce Mobilians’ PhoneBill and provide other alternative payment options to ijji.com users.”
With Mobilians’ PhoneBill service, Internet consumers have the ability to charge online goods and services to their home phone bill in partnership with PaymentOne, Inc. Targeted primarily at youth and young adults, this service provides an easy-to-use and secure payment option that online merchants can offer to customers who don’t have access to credit cards or other traditional payment tools.
“The partnership with NHN USA’s ijji.com, one of the fastest growing gaming portals, is a significant milestone for Mobilians International,” said Pragnesh Shah, president and chief executive officer of Mobilians International. “The Mobilians PhoneBill service is the first phase of our commercial payment systems here in the U.S. and paves the way for our upcoming MobiCash™ mobile payment solution.”
