FreshGames Partners with TrialPay

TrialPay has announced it is partnering with FreshGames to give away ZenGems, Cubis 2 and the Cubis 2 Expansion Pack for free. Using TrialPay, players can get FreshGames’ most popular titles free for a limited time by trying or buying an offer from blue-chip advertisers.

In a recent US consumer survey icon_PDF_small.gif, 32 percent of online gamers said they would definitely use an alternative payment method (like TrialPay) to pay for fee-based online games. Fifty-three percent said they would use an alternative payment method to pay for fee-based games if the offer to “try or buy” something else was something they needed, or if it was a merchant that they shop with regularly.

“Millions of casual gamers pay to play our award-winning games every day, and now with TrialPay everyone can get access to our addicting content for free,” said Stephan Smith at FreshGames.” By offering this unique alternate payment method, we’re removing a barrier for people to play these games when and where they want – as now they can play our most popular titles for free by simply making a purchase from a company they most likely already deal with.”

"TrialPay is extremely proud to partner with FreshGames, one of the most popular and best-reviewed game sites on the Web,” said Alex Rampell, TrialPay’s CEO. “We are excited to make it even easier for millions of FreshGames players to enjoy their favorite game—free of charge through this exciting promotion.”

Now when players go to download the trial of their favorite game, they can get the full version for free instead, simply by completing one advertising offer (by sending flowers, signing up for a movie rental service or buying clothes from premier retailers, for instance). FreshGames promoted this free method for getting ZenGems, Cubis 2 and the Cubis 2 Expansion Pack through a dedicated Mother’s Day e-mail campaign and will continue adding more touchpoints in the next few months.

Editor's note: Earlier this year, Glenbrook published a Research Brief on TrialPay titled "Converting Customers With TrialPay - A New Payment Alternative for Online Merchants".
