Asiana Airlines, Bank of America, and American Express have announced the launch of the new Asiana American Express Card from Bank of America. The card provides two miles per dollar on everyday purchases and access to members-only golf courses in Korea and throughout the Asia Pacific region.

"We are very pleased to partner once again with Bank of America, strengthening the successful relationship our companies have enjoyed over the past several years--and now adding the iconic American Express to the partnership," notes Kyung Chul Park, senior vice president of Asiana Airlines. "It is our customers, however, who will truly benefit, given all of the privileges and rewards that this exciting new card offers."

The new Asiana American Express Card from Bank of America delivers some of the most competitive benefits and features available in a premium airline card, including:

  • Two miles for every dollar spent on everyday purchases
  • Three miles for every dollar spent at select grocery store locations
  • Five thousand bonus miles after first purchase
  • Annual airfare rebate of $100 on Asiana tickets purchased with the card
  • Two annual Asiana lounge invitations
  • Annual 10,000 bonus miles certificate

"This program represents an important expansion of our successful partnership with Asiana Airlines, complimented by the unique benefits of American Express," said Michael Rhodes, senior vice president and Card Product executive for Bank of America. "We're delighted to offer the Asiana American Express Card to the marketplace and know that its competitive positioning will be key to this product's success."

In addition, the card provides access to exclusive travel and lifestyle offers, privileges and experiences exclusively for American Express Cardmembers. These benefits include exceptional offers on luxury hotel, spa and resort stays and special savings on fine dining and car rentals from participating American Express merchants. Through a convenient members-only website, Cardmembers also receive high-quality service such as access to participating members-only golf courses throughout Korea and the Asia Pacific region.

"We're delighted to join with Asiana Airlines, a company well-known for its outstanding commitment to its customers, and expand our strong relationship with Bank of America to launch this exciting new card," said Janey Whiteside, vice president and group general manager, American Express Global Network Services. "The Asiana American Express Card from Bank of America leverages our collective strengths and expertise to deliver a product that is superior in the market and is sure to become the card of choice for frequent travelers looking for premium value"
