Visa Names Tim Wilson as Head of Visa Canada

Tim brings an excellent knowledge of the Canadian marketplace, strong relationships and a solid background in business, strategy and finance."

During his time as President, Derek Fry led the Canadian region through a period of great change, including being a key contributor to Visa's transition to a publicly traded global company. Fry also championed the Canadian migration to chip card technology.

Tim Wilson joined Visa Canada two years ago as Senior Vice President, Strategy, Finance and Administration. In this role, he was active in shaping Visa Canada's strategic direction as part of an ongoing and focused evaluation of Visa's operations, structure, governance and business strategy. More recently, Wilson was appointed Head of Sales for Visa Canada, which allowed him to focus on strengthening key business relationships.

Prior to joining Visa, Wilson was Vice President, Finance at CIBC, a management consultant at The Monitor Group and a manager at Ernst & Young in Toronto. Wilson received a B.Comm. from Queen's University, a C.A. designation and an M.B.A. from Harvard.
