Merchant Link Sees Continued Growth of TransactionVault
Merchant Link has announced that it has seen a significant increase in the adoption of its credit card payments security product, TransactionVault, by quick service, casual and table service restaurant organizations nationwide, including Perkin's, Zaxby's, Famous Dave's, La Madeline, and Ruth's Chris Steak House.
At the end of the first quarter of 2008, more than 6,400 restaurants are actively processing credit card transactions using TransactionVault, whose technology works through the Merchant Link infrastructure at the point of sale. TransactionVault is a hosted service that houses credit card information in Merchant Link's secure "vault" so that data does not reside in the merchant's system, where it would be at risk from hackers.
"Our restaurant customers have read the headlines and seen the stories of merchants victimized by increasingly sophisticated hackers, and they are taking action to protect their patrons, their brands, and their reputations," said Merchant Link President Christopher Justice. "We believe TransactionVault is gaining so much momentum because it literally and figuratively removes many of the day-to-day security-related concerns of restaurants, allowing them to focus on serving their customers and managing their operations."
