U.S. Bank, Anheuser-Busch Introduce Budweiser Rewards Visa Card

U.S. Bank and Anheuser-Busch have announced they are partnering to offer the Budweiser Rewards Visa Platinum Card that will enable cardmembers to earn points toward gift cards good for Anheuser-Busch merchandise.

Visa Expands Small Business Discount Offers Program Globally

Visa has announced the global expansion of its merchant offers program for small businesses. 'Visa Business cardholders now can access more than 130 discount offers, including country specific, regional and global offers. Discounts are currently available on products and services in 17 merchant categories- including car service/rental, computer/electronics, entertainment and telecommunications.'


WaMu to Become Largest US Issuer of Debit Cards with MasterCard PayPass

Washington Mutual has announced that it 'expects to issue 12-15 million Debit MasterCard with PayPass cards in 2008, making it the nation’s largest issuer (as of Q42007). WaMu launched Debit MasterCard with PayPass nationwide in January, offering the card to new customers opening its signature WaMu Free Checking account, as well as to all WaMu Small Business customers. In March, the bank began issuing Debit MasterCard with PayPass to customers whose debit cards are renewing.'


RadioShack, Trumpet Mobile Launch Prepaid Mobile Phone Service

Trumpet Mobile and RadioShack Corporation have announced the nationwide availability of Trumpet Mobile's prepaid wireless services at more than 4,300 RadioShack neighborhood locations. Blaze Mobile Wallet Supports NFC on AT&T, Sprint Nextel Phones

Mobile Candy Dish's Blaze Mobile Wallet is now available for cellular phones on the AT&T and Sprint Nextel networks. Using Near-Field Communication (NFC) technology, consumers using their mobile wallet software can simply wave their mobile phones to purchase merchandise. Unlike traditional credit card transactions, NFC transmits a user’s credit card information using radio waves to the credit card terminal and eliminates the need to take out the actual card and swipe.
