Capital One Supports Personalized Images on Credit Cards

Capital One has announced the addition of a new “personalized image” feature for its customers. All Capital One consumer credit card customers now have the option to visit the Capital One web site and upload their own photo images – family, friends, pets, or a favorite picture – to be printed on their card, at no cost.

New and existing Capital One customers can go to http://www.capitalone.com/imagecard and upload their own photo or choose an image from our gallery for their card. Once the image is approved, a new card will be mailed at no cost to the customer; account terms remain intact.

“Putting a personalized image on your credit card is a unique way to express individual personality and creativity,” said Pam Girardo, spokesperson for Capital One. “This continues our efforts to empower consumers by putting them in control of decisions affecting their credit card.”

Last November, Capital One launched the Capital One Card Lab (http://www.capitalone.com/cardlab), which provides consumers with a new level of transparency and choice in credit cards. Customers are offered a series of interactive choices related to interest rate, annual fee, and reward options, where they can click to select the combination of features that are most important to them. As choices are made, the tool narrows the options in the remaining categories, eliminating options that don't work together. For example, consumers who are willing to pay an annual fee can earn rewards faster.

“We found that consumers like the sense of control that comes with the process of building their own card and the clarity it provides about the terms and rewards they choose,” said Girardo. “The opportunity to personalize the look of their Capital One credit card gives consumers the ability to truly customize their card – both inside and out – to match their own individual needs and tastes.”
