Discover Launches eGift Card

Discover eGift Cards allow purchasers to choose any denomination from $20 to $500 and have it immediately delivered to its recipient. Additionally, eGift Cards can be personalized by virtually “embossing” them with a name and personal greeting. As many as 10 cards can be purchased at one time.

“We’ve expanded our offerings to enhance the customer experience by delivering more choices, convenience, value and personalization,” said Dana Traci, vice president of Prepaid and Partner Marketing at Discover Financial Services. “The Discover eGift Card is an innovative way to help consumers complete their holiday shopping. If need be, they can wait until the last minute to purchase their eGift Card and still make it in time for the holidays.”

Recipients receive an instant, personalized email alerting them of their gift and are given access to their unique online eGift Card that can be printed or saved. Purchasers can opt to receive a text message notifying them when the recipient receives the gift. If the card is not activated within 30 days of purchase, the funds will be returned to the purchaser.

Once activated, the eGift Card funds never expire and the eGift Card is subject to similar fees as that of traditional gift cards. To purchase an eGift Card, customers can simply go to http://www.discoveregiftcard.com.
