Tyfone and i-flex Solutions (majority-owned by Oracle) have announced a partnership to implement mobile banking and other mobile financial services for a new client, West Coast Bank.

The Tyfone mobile platform architecture is modular and highly flexible for plug-and-play implementation with current core banking and Internet banking systems. With its patented security technology, Tyfone provides end-to-end secure communications and transactions.

Tom Spitzer, Tyfone’s chief executive officer, comments, “i-flex® Solutions’ deep expertise and vast experience developing systems and managing large, complex integration projects teamed with Tyfone’s extensible mobile financial services platform will give West Coast Bank an early, yet sustainable competitive advantage. We are not simply adding technology, but providing a new way for the bank and its key customer segment to grow their businesses with the built-in capability to evolve as consumer demand increases.”

i-flex® Solutions offers a comprehensive portfolio of products, IT services, consulting and knowledge process outsourcing exclusively to the financial services industry in over 125 countries. Sajal Mukherjee, senior vice president - PrimeSourcing, Americas adds, “This partnership leverages the combined strengths both companies have to offer -- global development, delivery and maintenance teams, modular systems architecture, and a singular focus on financial institutions. The net benefit to our customer is the most cost-effective mobile solution in the marketplace.”

Prabhakar Tadepalli, managing director of Tyfone’s India and Asia sales and operations, continues, “Tyfone and i-flex® Solutions will act as a team to integrate and scale West Coast Bank’s mobile financial services offering using the global resources and talents of both companies. The i-flex® Solutions and Tyfone teams recognize West Coast Bank’s goals and the opportunity for continued growth in the mobile channel. Our partnership brings global innovation to West Coast Bank and its customers today and for years to come.”

“Security and flexibility are critical components of our mobile platform,” explains Dr. Siva Narendra, chief technology officer for Tyfone. “Tyfone’s patented security technology has FFIEC-compliant authentication and provides a cost-effective, full-duplex communication between the bank and its customers. In addition, i-flex® Solutions’ implementation and delivery expertise brings to bear critical industry standard audit compliance regimes, including SAS 70 Type II, ISO 27001, BS7799 and CoBIT.”
