TransCard Provides Cards for Hotel Employee Payroll
Transcard has announced a strategic alliance with Choice Hotels International, a lodging franchisors with ten hotel brands operating in the United States and 37 countries and territories, to provide prepaid stored-value card solutions to hotel franchisees and their employee base. According to the company, "the cards enable Choice Hotels franchise owners to pay their employees electronically, and in turn potentially improve employee retention."
This will enable franchisees to enjoy the quickest and most efficient methods of paying employees who do not rely on bank accounts or face charges each time they cash their paper paychecks. The system architecture provides businesses with 24/7/365 customer service support, convenient online maintenance of account balances and transactions, and robust reporting that conveniences franchisees and employees alike.
“We feel that the electronic payroll solution offered by Transcard will give franchisees’ employees at their hotels a convenient and secure method to receive their paycheck, particularly if they do not have a bank account to store their earnings,” said David Goldberg, senior vice president, brand solutions, Choice Hotels International.
Craig Fuller, CEO Transcard, states, “Transcard is excited about the relationship with Choice Hotels International, and Transcard is eager to provide benefits to both employers and employees. The Transcard payroll platform allows significant gains in employee retention, satisfaction for employers that their employees will be paid on time and a solution for the many employees in the Choice Hotels franchise system that are without bank accounts. This is an exciting opportunity to enliven operations and streamline payment methods and cash flow.”
For Transcard, a provider of turnkey stored-value card solutions, the relationship with Choice Hotels International provides an ideal platform from which to launch its technologies and services to a wider audience. “Transcard looks forward to expanding the program to many other levels, industries and marketplaces,” adds Craig Fuller.
