Linux, Open Source Software Pay Off for Paypal
Phil Hochmuth writes for Network World about PayPal CTO Scott Thompson and his experience leaving the big IBM and Sun iron at Visa and moving to PayPal a couple of years ago where he found thousands of Linux-based, single-rack-unit servers. Thompson now says that there's no other way to do it given "the economic, operational and development advantages of open source and Linux technology."
