Chockstone Opens National Advertising Network at Retailers' Point of Sale
Chockstone has announced Receipt and Respond, an advertising network linking its restaurant and retail clients with national and local advertisers. According to Chockstone, the new advertising network "delivers point of purchase advertisements and promotional offers directly on consumer receipts. Specific ads are delivered based on actual transaction parameters, including retailer, store location, consumer spending pattern, type of transaction (e.g. loyalty, credit card), day of week, time of day, and items purchased."
Until recently, Chockstone's clients used the bottom of customer receipts exclusively to deliver their own in-store or online offers to generate incremental sales and profitability. Now, Chockstone has unveiled a system that allows its clients to sell that proven promotional space to third-party advertisers. By matching complementary retailers and advertisers, Chockstone delivers a new revenue stream to retailers and a new communications channel to advertisers."We're excited to flip the traditional processing model around and pay our clients to send us transactions," said Jeffrey Lipp, CEO and President of Chockstone. "We are creating a new revenue stream for our operators by monetizing consumer receipts, which is a great extension of our core loyalty and personalization capabilities. With the information we're capturing and consumer profiles we're building, we are able to give advertisers a network to deliver targeted, effective offers at the retail point of sale."
Chockstone has made Receipt and Respond(TM) available to all of its loyalty, gift, and credit card gateway clients. National and local advertisers can choose from an inventory of hundreds of millions of consumer receipts printed at approximately 30,000 retail locations. Chockstone manages the network on behalf of its retailers and credits monthly processing statements with advertiser funds, based on total impressions delivered and advertiser conversion rates.
