Xign has announced a partnership with Comdata to promote MasterCard e-P3 powered by Xign. According to the two companies, the first Comdata-Xign customer, U.S. Xpress Enterprises based in Chattanooga, TN, is using the Xign-powered electronic payment solution to expand its corporate payment card program to include accounts payable spend.

"MasterCard e-P3 offers a valuable payment option that eliminates the cost and risk of paper checks and improves the way we track information relating to p-card purchases," said Ryan Rogers, U.S. Xpress vice president of treasury and finance. "With this solution, we are streamlining our p-card payments to include purchases managed by accounts payable while still maintaining control over these purchases."

MasterCard e-P3 powered by Xign provides a secure platform for the delivery of MasterCard payments to vendors for efficient electronic settlement. The solution leverages the Xign Business Settlement Network, which is certified compliant with the PCI Data Security Standard, and is designed to support existing accounts payables processes and controls.

"MasterCard e-P3 allows organizations like U.S. Xpress to use an integrated virtual account number to pay for approved invoices within their Accounts Payable systems," said Stephen Orfei, senior vice president, MasterCard Worldwide. "This partnership is a testament to the fact that MasterCard e-P3 is meeting the needs of the market."

"As the leader in automating business settlement operations, Xign is the kind of business partner that Comdata targets to enhance our payment systems," said Bob Sneed, Comdata vice president of corporate payments systems. "We look forward to working with Xign as we respond to growing interest from our corporate customers in maximizing their MasterCard p-card programs."

"Comdata's strength in the transportation and retail industries provides great opportunities for Xign," said Jim Lucier, Xign vice president of worldwide sales. "We are excited about this business relationship and look forward to helping Comdata further differentiate its popular e-payment offerings for the transportation and retail sectors."
