Tyfone, Bank of Oswego Partner For Mobile Financial Services

Portland, OR-based Tyfone and Bank of Oswego have announced a partnership for the implementation of Tyfone’s secure mobile financial services technology. "Tyfone’s technology will enable Bank of Oswego customers to use their mobile handsets for secure mobile banking and merchant programs and services."

“Tyfone’s mobile platform provides banks an opportunity to match their customers’ modern lifestyle of mobility and convenience,” says Tom Spitzer, CEO of Tyfone. “We are proud to partner with Bank of Oswego to make the bank and merchant services accessible anytime, anywhere to their customers.”

Tyfone will provide select Bank of Oswego customers with secure banking cards to insert in their mobile handsets. These memory card clones will enable the handsets to perform banking activities such as fund transfers, bill payments, and some point of sale transactions; all with greater security, convenience and mobility than online banking.

“Tyfone’s solution isn’t just about technology but is an advancement in customer service. It enables Bank of Oswego to offer customers a new level of convenience and service by integrating banking into their daily lives, through their mobile phone,” says Dan Heine, CEO of Bank of Oswego. “Tyfone’s solution also provides us the autonomy to determine how our customers want to use their handsets, how to best reach out to them, and how to provide services when they’re needed.”

Tyfone’s solution links a bank’s core systems with existing mobile communications infrastructure through multi-layered security protocols. Customers receive bank-branded memory card clones for their phones that enable secure, mobile financial banking and payments.

Tyfone’s card enables dynamic access between merchants and customers to deliver customized services and programs directly to the customer’s mobile phone. Retailers and merchants sign up online to be a part of the bank’s mobile system, and have no need to install new technology or equipment.
