Chicago Fed's 2007 Payments Conference

The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago has announced its seventh annual payments conference, "Competitive Forces Shaping the Payments Environment: What's Next?", to be held in Chicago on May 10–11, 2007.

The conference, which will highlight recent trends in the adoption of payment technologies and explore the implications of those trends, will cover topics such as:
  • Competing for consumers' minds
  • Replacing wallets with mobile payments
  • Substituting cash with payment alternatives
  • Understanding retailers' role in banking and payments
  • Uncovering new customer opportunities through remittances
