USAA Launches Deposit@Home Remote Deposit Service
USAA Federal Savings Bank has announced it is now "the largest nationwide bank to offer an easy-to-use, secure new service that enables its customers to deposit checks into their bank accounts using a home scanner and an Internet connection."
"USAA bank customers simply scan, click, and confirm. They can access their money faster than ever before," said Mike Luby, president of USAA Federal Savings Bank. "USAA is making banking easier and faster for USAA members, particularly those military members who may need to deposit checks from down the street or around the world."
Robert Griffiths, a seven-year USAA member who is serving in the military, was impressed with the ease and convenience of USAA's Deposit@Home service. "The ability to scan a check from my home computer and have immediate access to my money has truly changed the way I do banking."
USAA members who qualify to use the service download and install a simple software program available from usaa.com. Computers must be equipped with the Windows 2000 or XP operating system and Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher to use Deposit@Home. In addition, the home scanner must provide resolution of at least 200 dpi. USAA members can visit usaa.com for more information.
