Secure-eBill Offers Free Processing To New Merchants, Consumer Rebate

Tags » ECommerce Payments, Online Banking  » Comments (0)

The incentives being offered to consumers and merchants to accept and use alternative payment mechanisms continue to grow. Today, SECURE-eBill, an alternative payment solution that allows consumers to pay for orders from their bank online, announced new incentives for merchants and their customers including offering free transaction processing for new merchants that accept the payment option between Nov. 10 and Feb. 28. SECURE-eBill will also offer a $25 rebate to consumers who shop at the merchants' sites during that time period and pay for online purchases using the payment option.

MODASolutions, the provider of SECURE-eBill, joins alternative payment providers PayPal and Google in offering attractive incentives in time for the approaching holiday shopping season.

SECURE-eBill, offers unique benefits to both merchants and consumers. "Consumers maintain control, security and privacy while shopping online or by phone. Merchants gain significant savings in transaction costs and the ability to leverage the growing community of online banking consumers while maintaining direct relationships with their customers," says Marwan Forzley, President and CEO of MODASolutions.

According to Forrester Research, online sales for 2006 are expected to exceed $211 billion. Yet more than 50 million Americans don't own credit cards, limiting their ability to shop and buy online. Many other consumers won't use credit cards online because they fear disclosing sensitive personal and financial information over the Internet. That leaves the door wide open for a secure, cash-like payment alternative that provides online shoppers a new shopping experience, while maintaining their privacy and financial integrity.
