Peppercoin Adds New Loyalty Platform Merchants
Peppercoin has announced that several additional merchants have selected its credit and debit card-based loyalty platform.
“Merchants in many different markets are finding that Peppercoin’s Merchant Loyalty & Rewards and Virtual Prepaid solutions can grow revenues through enhanced customer retention, more repeat business and higher average transaction size,” said Mark Friedman, president and CEO of Peppercoin. “Merchants working with Peppercoin are excited about how quick it is to deploy loyalty and prepaid offers and even more excited about how easy it is for consumers to enroll in these programs.”To reach the broadest set of potential customers, Java’s Brewin’ and Tech Superpowers will deploy Peppercoin’s credit and debit card-based loyalty solution this quarter in order to reward customers for coming back more often and spending more with their preferred credit or debit card when they do. Peppercoin enables single-swipe enrollment to encourage customer adoption. Peppercoin’s solution tracks the status of each customer and manages customer “earn and burn” based on rules defined by the merchant. Merchants have the flexibility to define programs that best suit their businesses, including defining rewards as dollar amounts or points and modifying their programs based on the real-time data and analysis they receive from Peppercoin’s system.
Java’s Brewin’, a Billerica, Mass. based franchisee of a ten-location coffee chain, will use Peppercoin’s solution to offer its customers a card-based, tiered loyalty program that awards points for dollars spent with a credit or debit card that can be redeemed at incremental levels for coffee and baked goods. The coffee shop will also offer a prepaid program to complement its existing stored value card program. Peppercoin’s solutions, which are tied to the cards already in consumers’ wallets, will increase customer convenience and speed at Java’s Brewin’, where the average sale is approximately three dollars.
“Many of our customers want to use their cards for everyday purchases. Peppercoin will help us make those transactions more profitable and will also let us take our current rewards and pre-paid programs to the next level,” said Sarah Moynihan, owner of Java’s Brewin’.
Tech Superpowers, a Newbury Street, Boston, Internet café and Apple-authorized service provider and reseller, will offer a customized loyalty program that allows customers to redeem points for rewards, such as a USB key drive, an iPod® shuffle or product discounts. Additionally, Tech Superpowers will offer a prepaid program, Café Prepay, which encourages users to open a prepaid account for purchasing Internet hours with an offer of an extra hour for every four hours a customer purchases with their existing credit or debit card.
“As a growing technology business, we searched high and low for a rewards program that provided a wide range of options without being expensive and complicated,” said Michael Oh, owner of Tech Superpowers. “Peppercoin was the only option that we found. Their products allow us to have not only a professional loyalty program, but also prepaid options for our customers, which gives them convenience and creates more business for us.”
