ETA Compliance Day
As part of a continuing effort to help organizations in the electronic payments industry understand and meet their obligations to comply with rules issued by the major credit card brands, the Electronic Transactions Association (ETA) will offer the first stand-alone version of its Compliance Day forum on November 6-7, 2006 at the Crowne Plaza O’Hare in Chicago.
Compliance Day was launched in April 2006 as part of ETA’s Annual Meeting and Expo. The program featured presentations by representatives from the four major U.S. card brands – Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. The November 6-7 event also will feature presentations by the card brands, but has been expanded to include a session focused on the new PCI Security Standards Council, as well.
“Compliance Day is a unique event,” said ETA Executive Director Carla Balakgie. “It’s one of the rare opportunities for those who deal every day with compliance issues to get answers to their questions, directly from the card companies.”
