Discover's Rotating 5% "Get More" Rewards Program

Tags » Card Reward Programs, Discover  » Comments (0)

Discover Card has announced that throughout October, November and December, its cardmembers can earn a 5% Cashback Bonus through its “Make the Holidays More Entertaining” Get More program when paying with Discover at restaurants, movies, and buying books, music and everything else, in-store or online, from these specific merchants: Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble, Borders, Circuit City, Crutchfield, Napster and Waldenbooks.

According to the National Retail Federation, holiday retail sales will total approximately $457.4 billion, which is a 5% increase from last year. Since the holidays are a time when consumers devote their money treating others as well as themselves, Discover Card is offering Cardmembers a free and easy way to build cash rewards even faster through its 5% Cashback Bonus "Make the Holidays More Entertaining" Get More program now through December.

“Discover Card’s ‘Make the Holidays More Entertaining’ Get More program is a simple, convenient way for Cardmembers to save money during what is traditionally a very busy spending season,” said Julie Loeger, vice president of rewards marketing for Discover Financial Services. “Plus, we’ve taken some of the stress out of holiday shopping by offering our Cardmembers 5% Cashback Bonus at locations where they are spending the most time and money.”

From October through December, Cardmembers who take advantage of the Get More program can earn 5% Cashback Bonus for purchases made at restaurants, movie theatres and movie rental stores, and at Amazon.com, Borders, and many other participating retailers. Plus, Cardmembers always earn up to 1% Cashback Bonus – unlimited – on all other purchases.

The Get More program is free to Discover Cardmembers. It offers the opportunity to earn 5% Cashback Bonus all year long in over 15 different categories that align with consumers’ top seasonal shopping needs. Just as their shopping needs change, so do the categories – four times a year – so Cardmembers earn the most cash based on where they want to shop and use credit.

Discover Card’s Cashback Bonus Program offers Cardmembers industry-leading features such as unlimited cash rewards that never expire for active Cardmembers, the most flexible redemption options and the ability to increase – even double – their cash rewards when they redeem for gift cards or certificates from Discover Card’s exclusive network of over 70 brand-name Cashback Bonus partners. As always, Discover Card also offers complete fraud protection and award-wining customer service.
