4th Annual Micro and Small Payments Conference

Tags » Micropayments, Peppercoin

Peppercoin has announced that the 4th Annual Micro and Small Payments Conference will be held November 28 at New York City's Marriott Financial Center. The conference's theme is "Transforming Transactions" and growing the small payments markets. Niki Manby, senior vice president of product innovation at Visa USA, and Robert Carr, chairman and CEO of Heartland Payment Systems, will keynote.

Leading national merchants, including senior executives from convenience, food service, coffee retailers, mass transit operators, online businesses, and mobile service providers; as well as senior executives from global financial services firms and payments institutions have been regular attendees in prior years.

The conference is co-hosted by Peppercoin and SourceMedia, a leading provider of market information, including news, analysis, and insight to the financial services industry. The event uniquely focuses on the growing small payments opportunities in the physical, and mobile marketplaces.

An estimated 46 million Americans said they would use their credit or debit cards for purchases of less than $5 in all types of everyday spending environments -- online, at the point-of-sale, and at unattended retail locations. In response, merchants are increasingly looking for ways to turn card acceptance into a strategic platform for added sales and enhanced profitability. Simultaneously, financial institutions are developing and implementing strategies to manage and encourage this transition from cash to card, including introducing contactless card systems and payments-based loyalty programs.

Industry leaders will discuss strategies and opportunities for growing micro and small-payment market opportunities. The full-day program features keynotes from Visa USA and Heartland Payments, panel discussions, and opportunities for networking including a post-conference reception. Panelists, such as MasterCard and WMATA, will examine topics in small payments including merchant loyalty, prepaid, cash-to-card, trends in transit and the investment landscape in payments.

For executive registration, and additional information on the panels and keynotes, please register at http://www.smallpaymentsconference.com or call 800-803-3424.
