FotoStudio Online Storefront Service for Digital Photographers
FotoTime has announced FotoStudio, a new service for amateur and professional digital photographers to easily and cost effectively setup an online storefront to sell prints and gifts showcasing their photos.
FotoStudio includes marketing tools so that photographers can email the participants at each event and provides watermarking of photos for increased security. As customers make purchases, FotoStudio tracks the profits for each sale and automatically makes payments to photographers each month by electronic funds transfer, check or PayPal."FotoStudio lets photographers focus on what they love and do best -- take pictures -- and not have to deal with the hassles of setting up an online storefront," said Jeff Kelling, FotoTime vice president of technology. "With FotoStudio, professional photographers and photo enthusiasts can set up a business in a few simple steps. Our new service is another way FotoTime enables photographers to 'do more' with their pictures."
FotoStudio is particularly suited to the needs of event photographers who shoot weddings, reunions, parties and sporting events. With the new service, photographers upload photos to their FotoStudio 'store' and set prices for the print and gift items for each event. Users can personalize their account by changing fonts, colors and even adding their own logos.
One of the first customers to use the product, Joe Ratterman of Kansas City, Missouri, grew his small business taking and selling photos from local water skiing tournaments into a full service business, In the Zone Images (www.inthezoneimages.com). Ratterman still shoots sporting events and action shots, but has also expanded the business to include family portraits, senior pictures, athletic team photos and corporate events.
"I want to focus on my photography and not have to worry about maintaining a site and billing customers," said Ratterman. "FotoStudio let me do that even as I scaled my business. I tried several other services for hosting and selling my pictures, but FotoTime stands out by far as the winner in this space. The team at FotoTime has done a great job at listening to photographers and putting together the online tools that professionals need to be successful."
