NWP Services, CheckFree Service For Multi-Housing Industry
NWP Services Corporation and CheckFree have announced a new resident payment solution, branded as aBreeze, combining NWP's multi-housing billing services capabilities with CheckFree's payment processing expertise to provide residents with a flexible variety of payment options for rent, utilities and other resident fee balances.
The implementation presents an opportunity to significantly reduce costs associated with accepting and processing monthly resident payments at local property sites, including rent, utilities and other resident fee balances. aBreeze also accelerates availability of funds and non-sufficient funds (NSF) notifications for property managers. With aBreeze, residents can make payments at the website of the property or management company, on-site using a check, or by phone using a credit card. All payments are processed electronically, with checks converted to electronic payments on-site which can significantly reduce administrative processing costs.
"aBreeze is a payment processing solution that responds to the needs of the multi-housing industry, offering residents the use of multiple payment types and methods, online or on-site, using a common service platform," said Michael Radice, president and CEO, NWP. "The agreement with CheckFree enables NWP to extend to our customers the reliability, performance, quality service and high level of security from the leading provider of financial electronic commerce. aBreeze offers multi-housing residents greater levels of access and flexibility than they have with conventional recurring automatic debit services," added Radice.
"NWP's expertise in servicing the multi-housing industry, combined with CheckFree's experience processing nearly 300 million electronic payments quarterly, uniquely positions us to offer the industry an innovative, reliable, and effective payment solution," said Mark Johnson, vice chairman, CheckFree Corporation. "aBreeze extends the convenience that many consumers are experiencing paying their monthly bills online or by phone to multi-housing owners and managers, allowing them to more efficiently serve residents in their communities," added Johnson.
