First Data's STAR Renews Golden 1 Credit Union
First Data Corp. has announced it has "renewed its agreement with the sixth-largest U.S. credit union, Golden 1, to provide STAR Network access and PIN-debit processing for its more than 280,000 U.S. cardholders and its 271 ATMs."
As a coast-to-coast electronic payments network and an expert in secure, real-time electronic transactions, the STAR Network connects Golden 1's U.S. customers with their cash at ATM and retail locations, as well as provides access to various national and international ATM and point-of-sale networks. First Data and the STAR Network serve more than 5,700 financial institutions across the United States and provide cardholders with account access at approximately 1.9 million ATM and retail locations. There are more than 140 million cards carrying the STAR logo."We're excited to be selected as the primary PIN-debit network for Golden 1's nationwide services," said Debra Janssen, president of First Data Debit Services.
