Card Tips For Traveling Abroad
Jim Flynn writes for the Colorado Springs Gazette with some tips for how to handle bank cards if you're going to be traveling abroad this summer - in particular recommending taking along a prepaid debit card. He says "the nice thing about a prepaid debit card is that the card is not tied to your checking account. You pay in advance and, if the card is lost or stolen, only the unused balance of the prepaid amount is at risk." David Bear of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette also writes about the same topic In an article titled 'A Safer Form Of Plastic?". Sandra Block writes for USA Today in her article titled "Using ATMs, credit cards abroad can be costly".
