Update: Mobile Payments, Mobile Banking Survey
Yesterday, we announced the first Payments News reader survey on the topic of mobile payments / mobile banking. We've had a tremendous response to the survey in the short time that it's been available online. Read on for some early and interesting "survey exit poll" results!
Among the more interesting results so far are the strong opinions being expressed to one of our survey questions:
In general, is mobile banking/payments a great opportunity or a great threat to banks?"
Well over half of the early participants in the survey said that mobile was a great opportunity for banks to strengthen relationships with their customers. In answers to another one of the survey questions, the benefits of "increased stickiness" in terms of customer retention also comes through.
